Anna DeMe‍‍‍llo, MSc, RD

Anna went to McGill University in Canada, where she completed a Masters degree in Human Nutrition. She is also registered as a dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO), Canada, and is a member of Dietitians of Canada. In New Zealand, Anna provides services under the title Nutritionist, as she has not yet sought membership with the Dietitians Board in NZ.

Anna has most recently completed a certificate program in Plant-Based Nutrition with the internationally recognised T. Colin Campbell Centre for Nutrition Studies at Cornell University.

Anna also currently works within the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine at the University of Otago, Dunedin. Anna is‍‍‍ a current member of the Nutrition Society of NZ and OraTaiao- the NZ Climate & Health Council.

Daniel Morris, MSc, RD

Daniel also went to McGill University and completed a Masters degree in Human Nutrition and a professional programme in registered dietetics credentialing.  He is registered as a dietitian with the Professional Order of Quebec Dietitians (OPDQ) and the College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO), Canada. Daniel's involvement with Plant-Based Living Initiative lies purely on the Canadian side of the business.  

Daniel has also completed a certificate program in Plant-Based Nutrition with the T. Colin Campbell Centre for Nutrition Studies, and has completed continuing education courses offered by Dr. John McDougall.

Jono Drew

Founders

Through comprehensive nutrition counselling, our nutritionists guide clients toward healthful habits, with the goal of maintaining long-term health and reducing chronic disease risk within the general population. We also teach clients how to base their eating pattern around foods that are friendly‍‍‍ to both our climate and our environment.

Jono is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Otago in New Zealand. Most recently, he has undertaken a research year so as to investigate the co-benefits, in relation to climate change mitigation and population health, of ‍‍‍a plant-based eating pattern. His thesis is set to inform brand new population-level guidelines on the topic of sustainable eating among NZ adults.
